Wetsuits will be needed for bus passengers travelling to Woking

Last year I was canvassing in Working Road, Jacob's Well - probably just under a year ago.

A local resident pointed out to me that the Bus Stop towards Woking was regularly flooding, but as we approached the site, we realised that action was being taken and the ditches around were being cleared. We agreed that not further action was needed.

Today I revisited the site. The Bus Stop is unusable due to flooding around the area and of course travellers would get drenched by passing cars.

So why does it happen? Has the council forgotten everything it knew about water management? During the last year I have noticed that the ditching seems to take no account of the direction of water flow. So the flooding was inevitable. But someone paid for this work to be done, which in the end was pointless. We need much better financial management. Shoddy work would be unacceptable in our own homes, so why does the council pay for this rubbish.
